We photographed spectacular gowns, gorgeous women and stunning florals recently in one of Denver’s newest and finest wedding venues. Amazing and unique bridal gowns from The Little White Dress Shop made a perfect combination with with artfully stylized bouquets from Swank Stems as we explored the beautiful lobby, meeting rooms and guest rooms of Denver’s new Four Seasons Hotel. We also stopped by the Edge Restaurant, recently the winner of the “Best of Colorado” awards as Denver’s coolest new private dining space. There’s no doubt about it – this is a venue to love.

D’Anelli Bridal took part in “Brides Across America” on Veteran’s Day last year, giving away more than 60 beautiful wedding gowns. We joined in by offering complimentary bridal portraits to those same brides.

Staff Sgt Tiffani Swayzer of the USAF was one of the brides that took up our portrait offer. Tiffani is as gorgeous as any model we have photographed, so it’s hard to imagine her in Iraq, running missions to our forward bases in a Blackhawk helicopter, or handling perimeter security for our bases in Afghanistan, but it’s all in a day’s work for her. It makes our offer of free portraits seem small in comparison, but it’s our way to say THANK YOU to Tiffani and all the other military women who put their lives on the line for our security. We salute you!

Senior session? Modeling portfolio? Harajuku fashion ad campaign? We don’t quite know how to describe Audrina’s recent shoot except to say that it was a Lot of Fun! We captured some great images and who knows, maybe Audrina’s neighborhood could be Colorado’s answer to Harajuku District!

Seven gorgeous brides, two lucky grooms, two spectacular venues, the collaboration of some of Denver’s finest hair stylists, makeup artists, floral designers, pastry chefs, and a score of the most stunning wedding gowns you’ll ever see came together on Sunday for an extraordinary bridal shoot.

d’Anelli Bridal fitted our brides with gowns by Jim Hjelm, Eve of Milady, Ian Stuart, Enzoani, Watters, and Alyne by Ravini, accented with beautiful headpieces, veils and other accessories.

Cuttin’ It Loose Salon showed a fantastic vision and artistry in hairstyling that truly complimented the brides and the gowns they wore.

We couldn’t get over the beautiful makeup done by Tiffany McCray of Blush Artistry & Company. It was natural, gorgeous, tailored to each of the brides, and survived from our early morning studio work to our late-night romp in the Warwick Hotel pool!

The jaw-dropping bouquets designed by Nicole Iverson of Swank Stems were among the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. Not only were the blossoms spectacular, the detail and the construction of the bouquets was unsurpassed.

McCormick’s Catering at the Oxford Hotel provided us with beautiful vintage locations in the hotel lobby, the Cruise Room Martini Bar and the Governor’s Room. Our special thanks to Morgan Varney, art and design major at UNC, for her assistance at The Oxford.

Bridal Shoot ImageWarwick Hotel and staff enough. Along with The Food Guy, the Warwick helped to keep our entourage nourished with great food and hospitality. We loved being able to shoot at Randolph’s Restaurant, both inside and out, the Capitol Ballroom, the beautifully refurbished suites, and the rooftop areas. No words can describe the Capitol Ballroom, which can accommodate 200 guests, when we saw it dramatically illuminated by Scott Hittelman’s Lighting and Design by Scott. The lovely wedding cake designed by Cherrie Isroff of Cakeheads provided the finishing touch.

With the only rooftop pool in downtown Denver, the Warwick was the perfect place to end a perfect day!

Knitting can indeed be sexy, as you can see in the first annual Knitting IS Sexy calendar we shot recently at Strings Restaurant in Denver. The official calendar launch will be held at Strings on November 5. Read the press release or check out the video on YouTube.

This is the second year we have been a sponsor of the annual Angel Walk in Clement Park for Angel Eyes (formerly the Colorado SIDS Program) and this year we also donated event photography and team photos. We became involved with Angel Eyes after seeing such strength after adversity in one of our bridal couples. Angela and Phil Rapp received support from Angel Eyes that helped them though the most difficult time in their lives, and they have given back much in return. We are happy make what small contribution we can to support the work of this fine organization.

Amazing makeup by Tiffany McCray of Blush Artistry and hair by Tajia Oliva supported the gorgeous models for a recent shoot at Strings Restaurant. We will reveal more later on this very cool calendar shoot to support humanitarian projects in Africa, but a hint to it’s theme can be seen in the final image of this post.

We have been working with Blush Artistry and Company, a group of extremely talented makeup artists run by Tiffany McCray, formerly of M•A•C and Clinique. This is a session for headshots for Blush’s website and marketing; you can see why their trademark is “perfect skin.”

Spent a terrific week in Las Vegas at WPPI seeing old friends, making new ones, and taking some time out to shoot a bride in Nelson, NV, a small ghost town out in the desert. Here are some images…

And here are some friends… Peter and Stephanie Zettl from St. Louis; they are great fun and great photographers as well.

Another great photographer wanted to pose with us: Yervant Zanazanian from Melbourne, Australia; one of the great wedding photographers from “down under.” Incidentally, we learned that they don’t actually say “down under” in Australia…

We did a photo shoot for a Pueblo style salon, turning the stylists into cover girls (and cover guys) for 24″ x 36″ posters to go on the walls. A makeup artist worked with the stylists to create a spectacular variety of looks. Great time and a great group of folks. The salon doesn’t actually publish a magazine, but after this shoot, who knows, they might!
