The skies opened up with a little liquid sunshine just as Patricia and Jim’s wedding got started at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, but it didn’t dampen spirits. Quite the contrary, and the outpouring of love from Jim and Patricia’s friends and family was just amazing. It was a Randy Rodriguez night, as the veteran entertainer got the festivities going, but this Texas crowd didn’t need any help knowing how to have a good time. Definitely a great celebration, and a beautiful cake from Sweet Daphne’s. Congratulations to you, Patricia and Jim!

You might be taking a chance to schedule a winter wedding in Denver, but the skies were blue as the church bells rang for Ashley and Keoni last month. Keoni saw Ashley for the first time in her amazing gown in a private “reveal” in the Brown Palace Hotel, and after having some fun with the bridal party, they headed to the historic Trinity Methodist Church for a beautiful ceremony. A wonderful reception followed at the Brown Palace, with dinner in the Onyx ballroom and dancing in the Tabor. Music was provided by Elite DJ. What a night!

If there is a more spectacular island paradise than Kaua’i, we’ve not seen it. Lauren and Spencer’s ceremony and reception was in the lovely and private Hanalei Colony Resort on the west side of Hanalei Bay where the motto is, appropriately, “Unspoiled. Unplugged. Unforgettable.” But Betty and I stopped into the St. Regis in Princeville for a glass of wine at sunset the evening before and we fell in love! Consequently we shot most of Lauren’s portraits at the St. Regis before driving around the bay to their beautiful and intimate ceremony on the beach. Amazing scenery and wonderful celebration.

Ten Mile Station was the site of Jenny and Drew’s wedding, and what a day is was! From clouds to sunshine, a few drops of “liquid sunshine” and we’re sure we even saw a few flakes of snow during the ceremony! Breathtaking views, wonderful food and meticulous attention to detail by the catering staff made this wedding a day to remember. It was as much family reunion as wedding, and we learned that even we had friends and family in common, reminding us what a small world it really is. We love Jenny and Drew, and loved getting to know everyone at the wedding! The beautiful florals were done locally by Dina and Stacy Sanchez of Petal and Bean, and the amazing cake by Katy Schabert of Sugar Breck. Music was provided by Dave Nichols’ Ultimate Music Service. Jenny’s gorgeous gown came from Patsy’s Bridal Boutique in Dallas.

A little rain didn’t spoil Megan and Ryan’s bridal parade at the Inverness last month. On the contrary, that’s just what it took to bring out a spectacular double rainbow! It was a wonderful wedding and a great gathering of friends and family. We loved being a part of it! Megan’s gown came from The Bridal Collection and her flowers from Encore Style. Fabulous music was provided by Jammin’ DJs and photo booth fun by Shutterbooth.

It couldn’t have been more perfect from start to finish. Jessica started her day getting ready in the beautiful Thomas Edison Suite at the Cliff House in Manitou. A vintage Rolls from ddg Classics took her and her bridemaids to the Briarhurst where Erik and his guys were also just arriving. They waited to see each other until the ceremony, but Jessica took some time to hang out with the guys, and the the girls loved hanging out with Erik, as you can see! We loved the ringbearer! Erik’s nephew Luke has to rank as one of the most charming ringbearers of all time, wouldn’t you agree? Beautiful weather and a ceremony attended by several peaceful deer made for a perfect end to the waiting, and a spectacular celebration followed, hosted by master DJ and entertainer Randy Rodriguez. Jessica wore a Maggie Sottero Desirae gown from Something New Boutique that had been retailored into a breathtaking one-of-a-kind creation. The gorgeous florals came from Jean-Marie Designs.

We realize that Cielo means heaven all the time (in Spain and Italy), but Emily and Mike’s wedding was definitely one made there. The couple didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, and a little hand-holding around the doorway just heightened the magic. Ceremony and reception were both at Cielo at Castle Pines. Emily’s spectacular gown came from The Little White Dress Shop, flowers from Alison at Brilliant Blooms. Doubledown Productions, aka Starkey Entertainment provided the music and the cake came from Mulberries. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

The skies were beautiful when Kiersten and Adam said their vows at the Vail Interfaith Chapel, with the reception following at the Vail Cascade. Hard to explain how special and emotional this one was for us, as we have known Kiersten since she was born. She’s found a great guy in Adam, and we wish them all happiness. Congratulations, guys! We love you!

It was a far cry from Jill and James’s usual surroundings on Wall Street, but they did it up right with an elegant ceremony at the Grace and St. Steven’s Episcopal Church in Colorado Springs, and a fabulous reception following at the Broadmoor. Jill’s gorgeous Sassi Holford gown came from The Little White Dress Shop. Great entertainment and spectacular uplighting at the Cheyenne Lodge were provided by Dan Osinski of Laser Sound. The florals couldn’t have been more amazing, but we know to expect that from Jean-Marie Designs. Transportation was provided by ddg Classics Limousine Service and planning services by Char Hein. Video was provided by AmitchellMedia and you can find a great video of wedding highlights that they posted here.
